Iron Man Has Arrived!

So much good Iron Man stuff ranging from paperwork to full costumes have filled the racks. Picking the subject of the first article wasn’t difficult with the most iconic figure from the movie staring right at me.
This is a crushed Mark III Iron Man helmet. The face plate is a separate piece and is held in place by CA and butyl tape. The main part of helmet was roto-cast as one piece so there is no neck hole but it is hollow and extremely light. The casting was apparently heated up or pulled from the mold early so it could be altered to look as if it had been crushed. The paint is exquisite and quite convincing. From the scrapes that reveal a metallic surface to the giant thumb print in the center of the face, it’s a convincing effect, even in person.
Obtained directly from Legacy Effects, the other costume pieces are in great condition with the killer red and gold paint job. Largely made of hard rubber, most of the Iron Man costume components are filled with soft foam and body sock making it completely form fitting. Through extensive talks with the Prop Master and others, we intend to create the most accurate descriptions with all of the available information.
So far the quality of the other pieces has been impressive. We have missiles, Mark I armor pieces, an RT chest unit, Electromagnets, and even the Monger helmet and torso! It is a very complete collection of notable pieces to be sure. Stay tuned, you won’t be disappointed!
